Miraval Rose´ 2012 , Cote De Provence, France
A cool $60 million. An organic wine producing 35 room estate built on a site dating back to pre-Roman times. THE Hollywood power couple of today teaming up with a French family of wine makers that have been around for over a century.
Miraval Rose´ 2012 is the first vintage released from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Provence estate, Chateau Miravel, in collaboration with Famille Perrin of Chateau de Beaucastel, “The Southern Rhone Specialists.”
The Wine Spectator has given this this exquisitely beautiful salmon tinted rose´ 90 points or “outstanding”, after a blind tasting and is quoted as “refined and elegant with pure flavors of tangerine, dried red berry and a focused finish with flint and spice notes”.

The Miraval Estate was built in 1850 by Joseph Lombot, the inventor of reinforced concrete. Another owner of this Chateau was Jacques Loussier, a French jazz pianist. He installed a recording studio, Studio Miraval, where Roger Waters of Pink Floyd recorded the vocals on The Wall album. Brad and Angelina have occupied this Estate since 2008.
I have been enjoying this well crafted rose´ all summer and am well into case number two. It is the perfect wine to enjoy ice cold and is highly recommended at anytime of the day!
