The juicing craze has hit LA hard and with all of the juiceries popping up, it is difficult to know what the difference is and where to go. First of all, for those of you who haven’t done a juice fast, it is way easier than you think. These juiceries have created all sorts of nutritious, cold-pressed concoctions that actually taste great. If you are new to it, just try a one-day cleanse to start. They run anywhere from $40 to $75 and can bring back a balance to your body you never knew was missing. Or supplement your diet with a juice here and there to ensure you are getting the nutrition you need. Here are a few juiceries to get you started:
Rejuice has locations in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. They are a great place to try if you have never juiced before. Master juicer, Ron Anthony or any of their team members are happy to spend time giving you the lowdown on their juices and how the cleanses work. They are reasonable, which is a rarity in the cold-pressed juice world, with a day cleanse costing only $45. They also serve delicious vegan food.
Moonjuice on Abbot Kinney in Venice is the Cadillac of juiceries. Los Angeles Magazine picked them as LA’s best juicery – no easy fete when you consider how many there are in LA. And with juice cocktails such as Daikon, Burdock, Lemon, Green Apple, or Carrot, Coconut Meat, Lime, Ginger, its easy to see why. They are on the pricey side with a day cleanse running about $70 but they have taken juicing to a whole new level. What I love about them most is their gift packages. You can send a ‘Get Well’ package to someone who is feeling under the weather, or a ‘New Mama’ to someone who just gave birth.
Pressed Juicery – with locations in West Hollywood, Downtown and Bentwood, amongst others, Pressed Juicery has the juicing thing down to a science. You can take a cleanse quiz on their website to determine which cleanse would be right for you. They can ship their juices overnight to you anywhere in the US and oh, did I mention you can catch a celeb sighting in the weho locale on a any given day? A one day cleanse starts at $72.
