DIY Easter Baskets

Easter is a fun time. Chocolate bunnies and colored eggs, found in that elusive basket that is hidden with that and other goodies on Easter morning. However, Easter baskets aren’t only for the kids. With a visit to your local craft store, you can create beautiful baskets to adorn your table for brunch, or serve as gifts to friends.

Pick a color palate and let your imagination run wild. Or use these suggestions from Martha Stewart as a guide to making your own creation.

This basket uses a combination of greenery, colored eggs and chocolate to create a multi-textured look. Use floral foam to secure the plants and color eggs to match the greenery or the decor of your home. Matching ribbon can be used to decorate the sides of the basket, as well chocolate pieces in the center.

Spruce up an Easter table with this tulip basket. Use colored jelly beans to pull colors from the basket into your table. Ask your florist or craft store about moss that can be watered to keep the flowers looking fresh the entire day.
