Say hello to Culver City’s new restaurant The Wallace. Located right in the heart of downtown Culver City The Wallace has snagged a huge space, cute patio and all around great ambiance. Owners Michael and Carol Teich bring something truly special to the brunch world here in Los Angeles.
Michael, the man behind the menu, focuses on re-designed staples with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and in-house baked goods. Carol breezes through tables flashing diners a genuine smile and making sure everyone is enjoying their lazy Saturday/Sunday.
Holly Zack is the genius behind all of the cocktails. On a warm day out on the patio try their Teepee (Campari, cava, chamomile, lemon) $8. It’s light and refreshing with a little bit of bite.
While all of the dishes are delicious there are two that really stand out. Treat yourself to the Lemon and Ricotta Fritters (Campari, cava, chamomile, lemon) $8. They taste like fresh, melt in your mouth, mini donuts! There are only three to an order so get two.
Next, do yourself a favor and ask for the Chilaquiles (roasted chicken, tortilla, tomatillo salsa, queso fresco) $13. You can have your eggs any style but scrambled is the way to go in this case. The tomatillo salsa is perfectly spicy and the fried tortilla chips with queso fresco makes any mouth melt.
Saturday or Sunday 11am to 2:30pm.
