First impressions are everything, especially when you walk into a home. Candles are a great way to set the tone.
Just the other day my neighbor popped by with some candle samples to try out. His long time friend; Catherine Powers is the creator of Inspired Home, an artisan owned boutique offering handmade luxury soy candles. I lit my candles that evening and the whole house smelled deliciously inviting. My husband commented that he really liked the crisp scent, as opposed to the overly sweet flowery smell of most candles. I placed Coconut Lemongrass on one end of the house and Lemon Fig on the other..each offered a clean fresh scent. Lemon Fig was reminiscent of our recent trip to the Amalfi Coast.
Catherine makes the candles in her studio. She said that it was a process of constant testing which resulted in fragrances that passed the highest standards. "Nothing too ordinary would do". I particularly love the custom packaging and the fact that they are all hand poured and scented.
As we get ready for the holidays, Inspired Home is the perfect go-to place for holiday shopping...it's convenient, unique and chic. When the candles are purchased from the website they are shipped in a gift tote and wrapped in a shimmery pewter tissue. I also like the idea of placing a citrus spice scented candle on my foyer table to set the festive tone.
